Sketches
Here's a slideshow of various things that I've played around with both off and on the computer.
- 01While watching Bob Ross one day, I thought, "If he can do that on canvas, I can do it in Photoshop." Not bad for default digital brushes, too.
- 02This is a sceen shot of an animation that was on my student demo reel. I composited the 3-d model of the snail I built onto the photograph of the stump. Used 3d Studio Max and Adobe After Effects.
- 03Here's a good cliche technology design. It is part of a series I am working on. The theme is humanity getting lost to the machine.
- 04Here's a poem in progress about youth and wisdom. The picture is of my daughter when we were at an Indian Princess Campout at Possum Kingdom Lake.
- 05This is a concept design for what unifiedvision.com will pretty much look like. It will be a flash piece using nothing but flat 2-D shapes and colors to simulate a 3-D environment.
- 06I also like to draw architectural things freehand. It challenges me to be exact and lets me be mechanical for a bit.
- 07Here are a couple character sketches. Both of these are done with pen. I like drawing with a pen becuase if you mess up, you have to make the mistake work.
